Update: Rogers and Fido LTE networks down temporarily, service being restored “ASAP”

Fido and Rogers customers in LTE areas are not receiving their ultra-fast service tonight, as the company has routed customers to existing 3G cells as they attempt to fix some outstanding issues. While the company isn’t acknowledging what is causing the issue, it doesn’t appear to have anything to do with the iPhone 5 data leakage problem that some users are complaining about (more on that tomorrow).

The company assures its customers that LTE service will be restored “ASAP,” hopefully by the start of the work day tomorrow.

Update: Looks like both LTE networks went live again a few minutes ago.
