TD Mobile App for Android adds mobile payment support for LG G3, Sony Xperia Z3 and Samsung Galaxy Alpha

TD Canada Trust had added a number of new phones to its mobile payment compatibility list, including the LG G3, Samsung Galaxy Alpha, Sony Xperia Z2 and Z3, and compatibility with NFC-compatible SIM cards from Virgin Mobile.

Version 6.2 also adds links to cross-border banking, including the ability to open a U.S.-based bank account from TD Bank, as well as border wait times, U.S. exchange rates and travel insurance rates.

TD Canada Trust was one of the first banks to add mobile payments from all three major carriers to its Android and BlackBerry apps, and now it has the widest device compatibility across all the major banks. The app supports multiple TD Visa cards up to $100 per tap-based transaction with a valid NFC-based SIM card.

The full list of compatible devices is below:

– HTC One (M8)
– HTC One (M7)

The update comes a day after Rogers updated its Suretap Wallet app with BlackBerry Q10 and Z30 support; TD still only supports the BlackBerry 9900 with its mobile app.
