Facebook for BlackBerry 10 updated with Messenger features and overhauled Pages usability

Facebook for BlackBerry 10 received a pretty significant feature update today, despite a lowly 0.1 iteration to its version number.

Version 10.2.1 brings a host of new Messenger features, something that BB10 users have been complaining about since the launch of the operating system. Facebook Chat now lets you see which users are online, the status of a sent message and whether it has been delivered or read. Favourite users are now a part of the app, too, a longterm feature of the iOS and Android apps.

The newsfeed has been spruced up a bit, too, with improved performance and a wider view. Users can customize their cover and profile photos within the app, and Page Administrators can post updates and reply to comments without being pushed to the mobile web.

Facebook for BlackBerry 10, along with Twitter, Foursquare and LinkedIn, is pre-installed on all BB10 devices, and with the anticipated BlackBerry 10.2 update expected in the next month or so, there is a lot to look forward to.
