Quick update: Carrier LTE (Long Term Evolution) network rollouts continue to happen and now Bell has expanded their coverage to include Moncton, NB, Blue Mountain, ON, and St.Catherines, ON. In addition, TELUS customers will also find LTE in St. Catharines ON and Lloydminister, AB

Both carriers now reach approximately 65% of the Canadian population – representing about 21 million people – and LTE will bring faster download and upload speeds.

Sudbury has it now too. YES!

    • Brad F(anboy)

And here I thought they would do their usual weird thing and bring it to North Bay first.

    • TeoToTheRescue

Still only getting 3-4Mbps in New Sudbury… where are you and what speeds?

  • ihitmyheadalot

not seeing LTE here in moncton yet on telus..

  • Mike

no Bell LTE in Moncton yet

  • Ronin

I’d really like to see them add in all the Military bases, they have a pretty concentrated population, and I know it would be worth it for them. (Start with Greenwood, please :))

  • ihitmyheadalot

@mike thanks for confirming its not just me.. appreciated. :)

  • EvanK

    Winnipeg waits patiently…

  • TP2

It’s St. Catharines with an a, not e.

Title has it right, but in the body it’s not.

Hey Bell how about you finish the GTA before starting other cities that I’m sure will also be incomplete. It’s pathetic how poor the coverage is in Toronto.

  • Porilaisten

Winnipeg will be the last place in the universe to get LTE.

  • aaa

thats the thing about bell and telus, they brag that they have the most coverage but the the strength of the coverage SUCKS!!! never thought i would say it but rogers has less coverage in terms of LTE but the signal is alot more consistent!!!

  • REDRUM

    RIP CDMA!!!!
    long-term evolution

  • Monctonguy

Still waiting for lte in Moncton. Where is it Bell?

  • Ryan

TELUS support has no idea why LTE isn’t working in Moncton; I currently have a ticket open with network engineers to figure out what’s going on…

  • ihitmyheadalot

@ryan also have a ticket open myself. will post here if i hear anything.. please do the same. the telus coverage map clearly states that its available yet for some reason noone i know (some who are ex telus employees here locally) are able to connect.

  • Phandangle

Also in Moncton, on Virgin, cannot access LTE yet. Maybe the map was updated before the service went live?

  • Monctonguy

Dec 18, this morning LTE seems to be working in Bell in Moncton. Hope the other areas are LTE as well

  • KB

Very nice, I hadn’t heard the news about LTE in the Moncton area. This morning, I noticed the LTE image on my SGS3. Very nice download speeds.

  • ihitmyheadalot
