BlackBerry 10 prototype device gets pictured, looks like a small PlayBook

Back at the end of April RIM started to heavily promote their developer session, BlackBerry 10 Jam, at BlackBerry World 2012. One of the major incentives for devs to attend was that they would walk away from the 3 day event with a “prototype running a modified version of the PlayBook OS which will help developers design their apps for the BlackBerry 10 smartphone form factor.”

Well, a few images have surfaced on the CrackBerry Forums of what the prototype BlackBerry 10 device might look like – and it resembles a slimed down PlayBook. The shiny BlackBerry logo is present on the back, along with a camera. On the front there’s the usual speaker and front-facing camera. In addition, the screen size looks like it’s around 3.5 – 3.7 inches. Of course, this is just a prototype and not the final design of a BlackBerry 10 smartphone, but if this is an indication of what’s coming… then RIM could be on a road to recovery.
