Android users must have been pining for Temple Run (I know I was). The game was released in the Google Play Store on March 27th for free, but there are some parts of the game that you have the choice to dish out some cash, such as purchasing additional coins. However, in just 3 days the game has received a 4.3 out of 5 rating from users – total ratings are 46,024. More importantly the game has been downloaded over 1 million times.
Certainly a far cry from the 45 million downloads the game has experienced on iOS device, but in 3 days it’s a great milestone to hit.

Great for the developer, but I’d have a lot more fun playing this on my Galaxy Nexus if it didn’t force close every single time I play and try to “Run again.”

As already pointed out, it’s quite buggy. Not just does it force close every time you try to play again, but it is laggy and unresponsive compared to its iOS counterpart. I wish they would have ironed out more of the bugs before releasing it.
It’s actually shocking they didn’t fine tune it more, since it was announced a LONG time ago that it was coming to Android.
Also, they can’t blame it on third party manufacturer bloatware, since TH had it crash on the Galaxy Nexus, and I have it crash on my Nexus S.

I found a workaround for that same thing. Instead of selecting Run Again, pick Main menu and start from there. Seems to be more stable atm that way.

I find that at about 2000m it lags every now and then, sometimes at the worst time, causing an untimely death.

Yesterday’s update fixed the crashing for me when choosing Run Again on Galaxy Nexus.
