Is this what the BlackBerry OS 6.0 will look like?

Check out the pics below as these are what could be the new and improved BlackBerry OS. These are speculated to be the upcoming 6.0 version and you’ll it looks like RIM is making room for widgets such as weather, sports, news and possibly putting your apps on the homescreen… similar to Apple and Android devices. What do you think…. you like?

  2. Yawn! Rim, do yourself a favour and buy palm! As a devoted blackberry user, I am becoming impatient with your lack of innovation. Buying palm would provide you with a consumer friendly OS that will support games and other in demand applications. It would also be nice to finally use a device of yours that doesn’t take 5 minutes to turn on and experience frequent crashes for no apparent reason! Android, Apple and even MS with their phone series 7 OS are looking pretty enticing.

  3. No I don’t! I have Bold and you already can have the weather on your home screen wiht Meteo Media app. Just highlight the icon and you have it. The Bold don’t have enough ram for apps too.

  5. Blackberry apps suck. The weather app is almost always incorrect, and browsing is soooo sloooow! Good thing my company pays for this or I SO would be getting an iphone!

  6. Not sure what apps they’re using but the weather being wrong has nothing to do with the Blackberry OS.

I use Opera Mini for browser which is much faster than the internal browser.

Compared to an iPhone I always prefer an OS that can be skinned the way I want it.

Hopefuly BB can pull it off in 6.

  8. After my last contract ran out, I decided to check out Blackberrys. Wrong choice… after 5 defective products (2 Curves, 3 Bolds) I’ll never buy another RIM product ever again.I also advise anyone I know to stay away from them.
So bring on whatever new OS you may have, I’m more than happy with my Hero.

  9. I like the idea, but the reason it works on Android or iPhone is screen space. There’s simply not enough room to pack widgets onto a standard BB display.
