Polar Mobile pushes TheStreet.com app to Android devices

thestreetandroidToronto-based Polar Mobile has released TheStreet.com app for Android devices. This specific app is already a been noted as a Webby Award Honoree on BlackBerry devices and is the first of many Android based apps coming from them. I’m sure we’ll see the TIME, SI and Food Network apps coming to Android soon.

TheStreet.com Android app can be downloaded at m.thestreet.com or do a search “TheStreet” in the Android Market. The app features push-delivered market data, a customized stock portfolio, articles and commentary from Jim Cramer. Quote search box for ticker price look-ups.

Bill McCandless, Executive Editor of Multimedia for TheStreet.com said “Strong forecasts for Android suggest that this launch was the natural next-step for us. The cross-platform reach provided by Polar is essential for accessing our readers in what will become an increasingly fragmented smartphone market.”
