RIM Q1 Revenue was $2.24 billion, ships 5.4 million devices

RIM Q1 2009 Results: Revenue for the first quarter was $2.24 billion (up 107% from $1.08 billion in the same quarter of last year). Revenue breakdown for the quarter:approximately 82% devices, 13% service, 3% software and 2% other revenue. RIM shipped approximately 5.4 million devices and added approximately 2.3 million new BlackBerry subscriber accounts and the total BlackBerry subscriber account base grew to over 16 million.
