1. Up till last week they were offering 15,000 AeroPlan miles just for signing up. When you consider how much it would cost you in Air Canada tickets to earn 15,000 miles (say, 2 trip to Japan and back), it could be economic to sign up and then just throw the phone in a drawer for the 12-month contract. And you can use any unlocked GSM phone with Primus (though you may have to buy one of their phones when you sign up). Don’t expect high-speed data though – they only offer GPRS (not even EDGE), and even then, only 1 MB, for $7. Just barely enough to read a few emails.
