Look at this beauty. It seems a far distance away from the carefully crafted Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge, but that’s what you get when you create something for the rugged market.
These images are allegedly of the upcoming Galaxy S6 Active, which has the model number of SM-G890A, and the overall design is similar to the GS5 Active with hard edges and a durable frame.
As for specs, the Galaxy S6 Active will reportedly have a 5.1-inch QHD Super AMOLED display, an octa-core Exynos 7420 processor, 3GB of RAM, a 16MP camera, 5MP front-facing camera, heart rate monitor, and a 3,500mAh battery – a significant increase from the 2,600mAh battery on the Galaxy S5 Active.
The device shows AT&T branding so it could be in testing and preparing for an imminent release. There might be a good chance Canadian carriers will pick this up, as the GS5 Active was released last year on Rogers, Bell, and Telus.
