Samsung is on deck to announce the 3rd generation of the Galaxy Note this September at IFA. Previous leaks indicated that the Note III will sport a 5.99-inch display, but today a picture and spec sheet has found its way online, courtesy of techkiddy, that say the phablet will have a ‘conservative’ 5.7-inch screen, run Android OS 4.3 with a Snapdragon 800 processor, 3GB of RAM and support LTE-A networks (download speeds of up to 150 Mbps). In addition, the report also confirmed previous rumours that Samsung will include a 13MP camera with 3x optical zoom and optical image stabilization (OIS). As for its design, the Note III – maybe will come to market as Note 3 branding – will have a similar design to the Note II and Galaxy S4.

    Wide load… Wow, lol

Lets hope that image is just stretched. I’m looking forward to the Note 3, I really hope Samsung would do what HTC did an offer 32GBs of base storage. Should be doable, especially with the high price of the device.

yeah when can I get it and smash my piece of crap iPhone

I’ve been dealing with a dual crack screen on my Galaxy Nexus for the past 4 months as I wait for the Note III to be released. Hurry up and take my money, I want this phone already.

Interesting read. Thanks for sharing hope its looks like this.

I highly doubt optic zoom. Phone manufacturers tried, but opted not to go that way because it makes the phone too thick. Look at the SGH-G800, Samsung made optic zoom phone and abandoned it because it’s sick. This is why Nokia developed Pureview because they believe that having a large high megapixel is the best way or achieve zoom and keeping the thinness.

agreed…added thickness could be an issue, but 3x optical would be pretty sweet. and, it being a little thicker, hopefully they add a bigger battery,,,i’m all in with this one

Agree. Every phone manufacturer is going thinner and thinner in phone profile so i don’t think the optical zoom will be popular due to the space required for lenses.

I’m afraid soon we’ll have phones that run off a solar powered batteries instead of Li-Ion to save space and make them paper thin.

    Note 3 leaks online, Half-Life 3 confirmed.

It seems like Samsung has reached their threshold when it comes to design.

Yep, it’s sad. Hope they do better with S5/N4 line. HTC should use this to their advantage when they release T6.

Sadly I’ll probably be picking up Note3 because of the stylus and bigger user/developer base even though it looks like a travel soap holder. Will wait for reviews of T6 and N3 I guess.

I would love to choose HTC’s Note 3 competitor because theyll most likely have 32GBs as the base model but they won’t have the stylus which I want.

I’d liked to see this compared against the Sony Xperia Z Ultra. Still think I’d prefer the ZU over the Note III

And Samsung’s bloat will render that S800 soc to nothing but a stuttering piece of fried silicone.

seeing how the past 2 Notes used Exynos SoCs, I think Samsung will continue that trend and pack a Exynos 5420 in there instead of a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800. The Note series seems to be their flagship line and I think they’d want to use their own SoCs in their flagship.
