New iPad lineups have started in Canada (Video)

It’s official. The lineup has started for Apple’s New iPad. As you can see the pic above I snapped is from the Apple Store in the Toronto Eaton Centre, currently there’s about 7 people in line. We’re also hearing that similar lines have started to from in Vancouver and Montreal.

The New iPad officially goes on sale at 8:00am and will also be available at Authorized Apple retailers such as Future Shop and Best Buy.

The New iPad is priced at:
Wi-Fi: 16GB: $519; 32GB: $619; 64GB: $719
Wi-Fi and 4G (Rogers, Bell, TELUS): 16GB: $649; 32GB: $749; 64GB: $849

      If someone likes to part of the “experience”, let them. Why the f*** is it such a problem for you people? They are just passionate about Apple, not dumb. I personally know many of my friends who went there on purpose to be part of it. They just like it. Respect it.

      Everything what apple does, you hate. Everything. If samsung releases a new tablet that is identical to the old 10.1 except it will come with ICS, then it’s all of sudden ok.

      If Apple wasn’t around, android and WP wouldn’t be around. They solved the puzzle first, give them some credit.

      As for the price, I personally don’t think it’s overpriced given the resell value and the fact that apple products come with a way better warranty and customer experience. When has Samsung released something innovative? They just take a piece of plastic and make it as big as possible, yet people still buy it. Yes, I am talking about your phablet.

      At the end of the day, enjoy the competition. It’s the customer, us, who benefits.

Sorry to tell you, but the last time they had an innovation was back when they came out with the first MAC computer. Of course, they aren’t lying when they say they’re the first ones to come out with an i-something, because they are. They’re hardly the first one with the technology though.

    I called apple during the unveiling of the new ipad and was able to order one right away with delivery being tomorrow. I didn’t though, after seeing that it’s just a small upgrade over my ipad 2.

      Really hope you enjoy having all of your computing controlled by a single company that has proven itself litigous and anti-competitive by nature. Ask the publishers what they think of your beloved ipad.

      Apple fans are so blind to the extortion that they are getting from Apple. 200% markup on devices, have to buy apps from them, have to buy subscriptions from them etc.

      Android may have it’s faults but, mark my words, if IOS ever does become the dominant platform (I doubt it will because it currently has half of androids marketshare) they will jack the prices on everything because it is all controlled by one company. The beauty of android is that it isn’t technically owned by google and anyone is free to do independant development if google ever closes the source.

      Plus, lets be honest, IOS doesn’t come close to owning android from a capability standpoint. From fluidity yes due to prioritizing the touch events. The easy way to look at it is that an android device can do everything that an iOS device can, the same cannot be said in reverse, not even close.

      Android tablets are superior i’m afraid. its just a more functional unit and I always try to be as unbiased as possible(on my youtube channel).

      Its also down to personal preference and who got to the scene first. kinda like windows and mac. windows came first, mac is a solid product but is still trailing behind because everyone older than a certain age used windows first.
      so they don’t sell because the ipad was here first, apple markets their stuff quite effectively

      also, you’re link leads to cnet…. them and BGR are the most apple biased sites humanly possible

      we also have the right to make fun of them for doing it. that is also the right of any person alive. because we are opinionated we can do whatever we feel. i said let the line up for the isheep begin because its true. i myself would never line up for anything that ridiculous. if i was to line up for something, it would have to be amazingly different and with features unheard of from past products. actually no, sorry even then i wouldnt line up. when i did have the iPhone 4 and 4S, i ordered it with my carrier and didnt have to waste time which i could be making money.

    Galaxy Tab 10.1, HP TouchPad, Asus Transformer, Transformer Prime with keyboard, Playbook, Sony Tablet S and iPad 2.Ive had them all. The iPad was my first Apple product. NONE of the Android tablets come close the to build quality and reliability of the iPad. Im talking stock here, not rooting, jailbreaking or tweaking. (which is all fun by the way :) ). I will be getting the new ipad tomorrow. Not because its apple, but because its new and i have the money. Ill use it for 2 weeks, get board sell it for premium, and buy the next best Android tablet. This s**t is fun!

    Acutally, I heard apple has offered these ipad fanboys a discount (thats right, not even free) to spend their time and energy ‘creating’ a line-up to create a buzz ahead of time in the malls around the US and Canada, false hype i guess you would say. brilliant advertising campaign when you think about it. Apple has to somehow sell the same stuff over and over again right?!?!? (aka new screen and ram… And thats all folks *insert piggy laugh here* :P )

    This frustrates me that people are so judgemental. If people want to lineup, that is their business, it is no ones place to judge. All the people that are bashing here because it is an Apple product are probably the same people that would still line up for concert tickets. If people enjoy lining up for whatever reason, that is their business. You have no right to judge, whether it is Apple, Android, or concert tickets, people enjoy what they enjoy. Life is too short to judge.

    I walked into Best Buy on Brant St. in Burlington this morning at 8:45am, walked right to the counter and bought one. There were about 20 employees walking around the store and not a single customer :-P

    There were probably 200+ ipads left too. They had a huge roped off area, with taped floors, etc. Too funny.

    I just walked into a local Staples around 10am and grabbed a new 32gb wifi and was out and back in my car in like 5 minutes. future shop / best buy and probably walmart also carry it so why line up like morons?

    Apple iPad is a nice device, and all this back and forth between apple and android fans is silly. While Apple and all the other companies laugh, you keep losing money from your pockets. Somebody is getting very rich by you guys going at each other. But sadly you all lose. You are spending money on hype. Yes there are some great features in all the devices, but at the end of the day, it’s WHAT YOU DO WITH IT that matters.

    At the end of the day, get something that WORKS FOR YOU and you can AFFORD. Remember that there are always new devices comings. What I find UNETHICAL is companies like APPLE who use marketing and psychology to get top dollar from people. Kids are been peer pressured into buying some products!!

    I’m happy with my old Windows Thinkpad tablet. (Also have an iPhone 4S)… not a hater, but want to point out that we the people who lose in all this. JUST BUY WHAT YOU LIKE AND CAN AFFORD, and ENJOY LIFE ppl :) It’s sunny outside.

    my question to the masses is if the Ipad is so great how come retailers are sold out of playbooks. And why do they keep saying quad-core processing or better processing speed then the 2, its the same cpu, only gpu is different and that doesn’t control the speed. But then again its all make by samsung, so anyone who says ipad is better then samsung is an id**t
