TELUS “App House” now available on BlackBerry, coming to Android, iPhone and WP7 later this year

Even though there are hundreds of thousands of apps available across several mobile platforms, it can be confusing at times. So many choices, poorly organized and cluttered. TELUS has rolled out a new app to help their customers save time in searching, or according to the internal doc we received it says help them “discover applications that will improve their smartphone experience”.

The TELUS App House app gives customers the ability to “directly access best-in-class applications through a gateway residing on their device’s home screen. TELUS App House is an app that lives on a customer’s smartphone. A customer simply clicks on an app in App House and it will provide a direct download or take them to the download page in the appropriate app store… Content on the portal will include TELUS apps like the TELUS eCare account app, TELUS International Roaming Guide, well known, branded, partnered apps like Rdio and Skype and other top third-party apps.”

This is currently pre-loaded on BlackBerry 7 devices (BlackBerry 9810, 9900, 9860, 9360) but will be coming to BlackBerry 5 OS & 6 OS, Android, iPhone and Windows Phone 7 later this year.

I’ve searched the BlackBerry App World and haven’t seen anything yet. Perhaps it’ll show up later today.
(Thanks tipster!)
