Virgin releasing a Quebec-exclusive $30/month 6GB data plan tomorrow

A week ago Videotron released their 6GB data plan for $30/month and starting June 29th Virgin Mobile will offer the same. From an doc we received it states that “For a limited time, members of Quebec can obtain the addition of 6GB of data for only $ 30 per month”… so this is exclusively only available in Quebec to new and current Virgin customers. Virgin does make a point in the doc that “Unlike competitors, the super fast network Virgin Mobile covers 96% of Canadians from coast to coast… Members have access to six gigabytes of data across the country without any problems!”. Virgin covers 96% of Canada thanks to their parent-company Bell, and the “competitor” they are talking about is Videotron. Once Videotron customers leave the Quebec area they start roaming on Rogers network.

Quebec is continuing to be a hotbed for wireless competition in Canadian. This plans will be perfect for the upcoming HTC Sensation.
