Sony Ericsson is going all out with the Android devices – the Play and arc are launching via Rogers within the next few weeks and it looks like the Neo is also coming to Canadian shores soon. This Android 2.3 Gingerbread powered device has shown itself on the Sony Ericsson Canadian site. It only says it’s “coming soon” and no word on which carrier will be picking this up but specs have it with a 3.7-inch display (480 x 854), 8 megapixel camera that can take 720p HD video, WiFi, holds up to 32GB with a microSD card, Video calling and a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. In addition, the Neo will be available in 3 colours: White, Blue and Red.

Check it out here at SE

What do you guys things of this phone? If I were to wait till June to buy a phone…should i get this or a Nexus S or another phone?

    • hinds

If you don’t mind waiting its a decent phone. If you like having the current update os wise get the nexus s.

    • jak

nexus s is a good choice but if you’re gonna wait till june, get the galaxy s2.

  • Michael

Lol I was about to say “I hope wind carries this” but then realised wind doesn’t carry any mainstream devices.

  • David Evans

This is awesome news. Personally I’m not a fan of mini-tablets as phones, good work SE.

  • Kamino

Wind won’t support it… it doesn’t have the 1700 Mhz band

im disappointed in SE not making pentaband phones like nokia

for once, I don’t think it’s gonna be rogers to carry this one unless they want to compete their products against each others. I know the Arc is more upscale, but the differences are not major between the two phones. Sort of like having the DHD with Telus and the Incredible S with Bell thing.

  • crunch204

    rogers will carry this.

  • David Evans

crunch204 is right. SE isn’t carried by either of the remaining Big 3.
The Neo won’t be released till the summer that’s why Rogers hasn’t been advertising it like the arc and the play.

Rogers is where it will land.

Rogers has an exclusive contract with SE. It can only be carried by Rogers or Fido.

Galaxy s2 ??? is it coming to canada soon??

  • Daniel

I disagree with Rogers carrying this. Its just a cheaper xperia arc, and would cut into the arcs sales which have higher revenue potential. This phone seems like a good fit on fido, or a good off-contract phone…. I think over in Europe its close to under 400 dollars which is a hole in the Android line-up.

This might be SE’s “thin phone”

I wish one of the carriers (likely Rogers given their exclusivity with SE) would announce picking up the Experia Pro already. Until then, I’m content with staying month-to-month.
