Bell releases “Cowbell” app to support Team Canada

Bell is a major sponsor of the upcoming 2010 Vancouver Olympics (starts in 3 days) and they have released a free Cowbell app that will help you cheer on Team Canada. All you have to do is go to www.bell.ca/cowbell on your mobile browser and download it. I’ve downloaded the app and it’s nice looking – just a cartoon like cowbell branded with the Bell logo. The actual cowbell sound is identical, but the speed of the cowbell is a bit lacking as it’s really slow. (If people want I will put a video of it online so you know what it sounds like)

  4. If you load the webpage on an iphone it directs you to go to the app store and search for “bell cowbell”.

    But seriously don’t bother. The app plays a cowbell sound when you touch the screen or shake the device. That’s it. No animation or anything remotely interesting.

  5. @Dave Pyke I don’t have an iPhone and I got it free. You poke the screen if you don’t have a device with an accelerometer.

  6. Does not suport windows mobile – or at least htc touch or 6800 anyway . . listing supported platforms or devices would have been nice – oh well bell stuff just cripples phones anyway..lol
