Virgin Mobile switching to subscriber plans soon?

Update – Virgin Mobile has updated the site with a few maintenance changes. We hear rumors that they might be adding some new phones, price plans and subscription models.

This could be the sign that well they are planning on abandoning their pre-paid business and moving moving towards subscriber based plans. During the 2007 holiday season Sir Richard Branson said ”Canadians on annual plans have been asking us to create an offer for them and to take the `con’ out of contracts.”
