HTC teases BoomSound improvements ahead of One M9 unveiling

Over the last few months, HTC’s newest flagship, the One M9, has gotten a bit of “worst kept secret” reputation. We’ve seen countless leaked photos of the device and this past weekend we even got some official product shots along with a full spec sheet. However, for all we do know about the One M9, there are a lot of things we don’t know, and all the photos in the world won’t give us the answers.

For a start, we’re really curious about the camera situation. HTC went with a dual-camera setup with the One M8 but is expected to include just one rear-facing sensor in the One M9. We’re also eager to hear about the improvements to BoomSound, and HTC is apparently just as excited as we are.

The company’s various regional Twitter accounts have been teasing features of the phone for the last few weeks and HTC Ireland and HTC USA have both teased BoomSound in the last 24 hours. HTC Ireland kicked it off with the following tweet on Monday morning along with a video:

Then, just a few hours later, HTC USA pushed out another one of its Madlibs clues, also related to BoomSound:

What this means is anyone’s guess but we’re excited to go ears-on with the new HTC One in less than a week. Stay tuned for our on-site reporting from Barcelona.
