Freedom Mobile is texting a $30/125GB deal to some customers ahead of Black Friday, but there’s a small catch.
Per a text I received from the carrier, Freedom said, “Black Friday came early,” before detailing the offer, which nets you a $30/mo plan with 125GB of 5G data. The small catch? It’s only for adding a line, and the price includes a $15/mo ongoing credit and an auto-pay discount. The plan regularly costs $45/mo.
The text outlined a few other details:
- The 125GB of data works in Canada, the U.S., and Mexico.
- Plan includes 5GB/mo of Roam Beyond data.
- Only available for bring-you-own-phone (BYOP) customers.
- Discounts appear on the second or third bill.

Moreover, the text notes that Freedom’s Price Freeze Promise applies, though it’s not clear whether that includes the ongoing credit (my guess is that it does not, since the company’s website is clear the promise applies to the price “before discounts and credits.”) However, it’s also not clear how long the credit will last — the text mentions no end date.
Regardless, the offer is pretty good, even compared to Freedom’s already value-packed plans. But it only lasts until Nov. 19, so if you’re a Freedom customer, keep an eye out for this text deal.
