Canadian soccer (or football) fans rejoice, as the English Premier League is back and has just played through its first weekend of the regular season. If you’re looking to catch matches from one of the top leagues in the world, I’ll show you how to watch it.
Before we get into it, though, let’s add some context. The 2026-2027 Premier League season started on August 21, with the final games set to be played on May 30, 2027. The season will consist of 33 weekends and five midweek match rounds and is designed to avoid clashes with domestic and UEFA club competition dates.
Now, here is how to catch all of the action.
How to watch
The good news is you don’t need to subscribe to a bunch of different streaming services in order to access every Premier League match.
In Canada, Fubo is the exclusive home for Premier League matches. Alongside that, if you want to catch matches from other top leagues around the globe (Serie A, Bundesliga, Ligue 1, Concacaf, Canadian Premier League), you can do so directly through the service.
Now, Fubo isn’t free. You do have to get a subscription, and there are some tiers involved as well. To access the Premier League and Serie A, you need to subscribe to the service’s mid-tier “Sports Monthly” package, which also gives you access to 71 channels (compared to 51).
Notably, Fubo does use channels. Most of them are sports-related, but outside of football/soccer, you get access to MLB TV, NBA TV Canada, Flo Hockey, Flo Racing, Fox Racing, ONE Championship, the World Poker Tour, and the Big Ten Network. You also get access to CHCH, so if you’re in the Hamilton, Halton, or Niagara regions, you can get your local news channel bundled with all of your sports channels.
