Samsung tends to release devices in many sizes and specification range to attack each market and price point.
One of the latest smartphones that Samsung is rumoured to launch is the Galaxy F. Information about the device has leaked over the past few weeks, which is expected to sport a metal frame and a QHD screen. However, this foray into premium materials might just be the start of a larger plan to take on other manufacturers who are already offering this option.
According to ETNews, Samsung is prepping to come out with a new smartphone lineup that aims to appeal to the higher end of the smartphone market. The first device is known as the Galaxy Alpha, which is reportedly made of metal and may be announced on Wednesday, August 13th, with a release sometime in September. Apparently the goal is to go head-to-head with Apple’s soon-to-be-announced iPhone 6.
Samsung declined to comment on the report. In addition, there was no mention of specs, carrier partners, or firm launch date… so for now this is considered a rumour.
