RIM co-CEO Jim Balsillie’s quest for an NHL team, specifically the Phoenix Coyotes will be decided within 30 days. Yesterday he sat down with the Toronto Star and spoke candidly about the past and his future plans. began his quest for an NHL team, it was all about having fun with a new toy.
“I want another team in Ontario. I believe it’s the right thing for the fans, I believe it’s the right thing for the game. I believe it’s the right thing for the league. And I believe it’s the right thing for the Ontario economy. And it’s what I want to do. “We’re the source of the game, the players, the money, and I think we should have a seventh team. I spent five years looking for a front door. … We couldn’t find a front door. I found a side door.”
