If you’re planning on watching Sony’s annual PlayStation E3 press conference live this year, you’ll have the option to do so in a movie theatre.

The Japanese tech giant has announced that it will livestream its June 12th conference from the annual Electronics Entertainment Expo to over 85 theatres across Canada, the U.S. and Mexico. There, you’ll be able to watch as the company reveals what’s to come with PlayStation 4, PlayStation VR and more. This is the third year in a row that Sony has offered this theatrical E3-viewing experience.

Attendees will receive some free swag, too, including an exclusive poster and #76 from the PlayStation Collectable Card series. Sony says people will also get a “digital gift basket chock-full of goodies from PlayStation Store,” although it’s not clear what this might include.

At last year’s E3 Experience, PlayStation gave out freebies like $10 PSN credit, dynamic themes for the PS4 and a collector’s cup and poster. Vouchers for free popcorn and drinks were given to those in attendance as well.

Tickets are free and will be available via registration at playstation.com/E3experience on Tuesday, May 30th at 10 AM PT/1 PM ET while supplies last. However, you’ll need to create a free Gofobo account to do so, with tickets being sent to the email address used to create your Gofobo account.

E3 Experience 2017 will be featured in five Canadian theatres:

  • Scotiabank Theatre Chinook – Calgary, Alberta
  • Cineplex Cinemas Metropolis – Burnaby, British Columbia
  • Scotiabank Theatre Winnipeg – Winnipeg, Manitoba
  • Scotiabank Theatre Toronto – Toronto, Ontario
  • Cinéma Banque Scotia Montréal – Montréal, Quebec

It’s important to note that Sony says receiving a ticket does not guarantee a seat, as theatres may be filled to capacity before then. You must be at least 17-years-old and have a valid form of ID to attend.

If you don’t go to E3 Experience, you can also watch the press conference livestream through a variety of different PlayStation social media platforms. A list of those can be found here.

The Electronics Entertainment Expo runs from June 13th – 15th in Los Angeles and will feature game-related announcements from other companies, such as Microsoft and Nintendo. Stay tuned to MobileSyrup during this time for coverage on the event.
