Apple has eliminated a major pain point to purchase in iBooks, for both Mac and iOS. Previously, buying digital books as gifts with the Kindle competitor was impossible, forcing users to purchase iTunes credits instead. Users can now send gifts in celebration of their holiday of choice from the iBooks app or via the iTunes store on their Mac, although the option is slightly hidden (see photo above).
