The new iPhone 4S will be landing at SaskTel on Friday, October 28th. They’ve posted links on their site letting customers know they will carry the 16GB, 32GB and 64GB model, but give no prices, just the familiar “coming soon”. Other carriers in the province such as Bell, TELUS and Rogers are already offering this for the below pricing, so you can expect SaskTel to come in at the same:
16GB: $159 on a 3-year
32GB: $269 on a 3-year
64GB: $369 on a 3-year
16GB: $649 no-term
32GB: $769 no-term
64GB: $869 no-term

Why is the no term price for 32 and 64GB price is $20 higher than Apple’s unlocked phone?
I am paying more and yet the phone is locked… Bell does it too? Why?????
For those who has an iPhone 4 and want to upgrade to 4S, just buy it outright from Apple and your life will be much easier.

Do the math here:
Last year, iPhone 4 comes out and it costs 659 + tax = 744.67 for outright and unlocked from Apple.
iPhone 4S outright and unlocked from Apple is 649 + tax = 733.54.
You can sell your iPhone 4 on Kijiji for a good $280, which means you are only out 464.67 for keeping your iPhone 4 for a bit over a year.
Compare to Contract, 3 year term, for you to go from iPhone 4 to 4S, you will likely to pay $20 * 21 months (assuming you hold iPhone 4 for 15 months), plus $159, plus $35 upgrade fee and also 3 years of contract with minimum monthly fee of $55 + tax.
Not to mention the monthly fee, the upgrade will cost you 692.83 from one of the big 3. The difference of you buying your 4S from Apple contract free and unlocked is a mere $50.85!
This makes no sense to upgrade and sign any contracts with the big 3. Plus, you have the biggest bargaining power ever to get great retention plan. Imagine the freedom of ditching your carrier anytime you want and they have to EARN you money instead of LOCKING your money!
iPhone has incredible good resale value! Take advantage of it!

With Apple, you pay more for less and use the phone the way we tell you to.

To kind of add to XER and what he is saying, you don’t have to buy the phone from apple or the carriers. When the 4 came out I payed 500 from a guy off kijiji for it. 500 is alot but in my opinion it is better then paying 650 + tax.

The big problem with Kijiji is a lot of the stuff is HOT/Stolen.Buying or posing stolen merchandise can land you a criminal reckord. Also warranty might be invalid.
