Cineplex mobile app surpasses one million downloads

Cineplex mobile app was released back in November last year and gives those who download it the ability to locate theatres, showtimes, check out movie trailers and buy buy tickets through PayPal. Kyle Moffatt, Director of Communications for Cineplex Entertainment sent us a note saying the app has been downloaded over 1 million times: “the Cineplex Mobile App has surpassed one million downloads since its release November 23, 2010. The more than one million downloads have resulted in nearly 10 million sessions”. Solid results for a Canadian company! The app is free and available for Blackberry, iPhone and Android devices.

  2. Great app for finding out what’s in theaters, but like so many others on the Android Marketplace, purchasing tickets just doesn’t work. I’d give it 10/10 if that functionality was fixed.

  4. I thought that Cineplex went under, they closed/sold all of their theaters here in Kitchener.

  5. Just fix the online ticket purchase part of the app, and I’ll certainly rate this app high. It never works!

  6. I prefer flixster myself. Only reason I downloaded cineplex is so I could stop carrying my scene card in my wallet…
