Motorola has shared new details surrounding the upcoming Moto G Stylus for 2026.
The Moto G Stylus (2026), which will run Android 16 out of the box, features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 (4nm) processor, with a 2.4GHz octa-core Kryo CPU, and an Adreno GPU. Similar to the Moto G Power 5G I wrote about, the Moto G Stylus is getting 8GB of LPDDR5X RAM that is expandable using Ram Boost, which uses some of the device’s internal storage as memory. There are 128GB and 256GB models available, with expandable storage up to 1TB via a MicroSD Card.
The device also has two new colours: PANTONE Coal Smoke, and PANTONE Lavender Mist.
Shifting to the stylus quickly, the stylus can now respond to tint and pressure in supported apps, enabling broader shading, finer lines, and more natural strokes. There are several shortcuts that can also be done with the pen: Quick Clip (highlight and send text to notes at the press of a button), Drag & Drop (for images into Notes), Hover to Magnify, and Circle to Search with Google.
Moving on to the display, the Moto G Stylus sports a 6.7-inch Extreme AMOLED display with 1.5K Super HD resolution and 5,000-nit peak brightness. According to the press release, the Moto G Stylus’ High Brightness Mode will also boost visibility outdoors to up to 1400 nits, while the Display Colour Boost setting adjusts colour and contrast based on the ambient light around you.
Powering this screen is a 5200mAh battery that reportedly delivers up to 44 hours of use (5 hours less than the Moto G Power 5G). The Moto G Stylus also sports Motorola’s 68W TurboPower Charging (which works great) or 15W wireless charging if you have one available.
The device also sports three rear cameras: a 50MP main rear camera with a Sony LYTIA 700C sensor, a 13MP ultrawide-angle camera, and a third camera with a three-in-one light sensor. There is also a 32MP front camera.
There are also two video capture cameras (front and rear) that can get up to 60fps at FHD, and 240FPS using slow motion. The front camera, however, will only be 30 fps.
Motorola is also debuting a new Moto Pad for 2026, but for the time being, it is only in the US at T-Mobile and Metro by T-Mobile locations.
The new Moto G Stylus will be available at Motorola.ca starting on April 16, starting at C$699.99.
