Motorola has introduced the latest version of its budget device, the Moto G Power.
The new Moto G Power (2026), which runs Android 16, features a MediaTek 6300 processor and a 2.4 GHz octa-core CPU for 5G performance. The device also has 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM. Users can expand memory to 24GB using RAM Boost, which uses the device’s internal storage as virtual memory. In terms of storage, the device also gets 128GB of built-in storage, but is expandable up to 1TB through the use of a microSD card. There is also a Dual SIM available, with a nano SIM slot and eSIM.
The new Moto G Power is getting a 6.8-inch FHD+ display, with a 120Hz refresh rate, and a brightness mode that can go up to 1,000 nits. Alongside Dolby Atmos stereo speakers, the Moto G Power 5G also includes a 3.5 mm headphone jack (MAJOR win in my books), and Bluetooth 5.4.
The Moto G Power is sporting a 5200 mAh battery with 30W TurboPower that delivers up to 49 hours of power on a single charge, which, according to Motorola, “delivers hours of use in just minutes.”
The device sports three rear cameras: a 50 MP primary rear camera, an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle secondary rear camera with Macro Vision, and a tertiary rear camera with an ambient light sensor. There is also a 32MP front camera, which, like the primary rear camera, gets what Motorola describes as Quad-Pixel technology. Motorola has also added new AI features to its cameras, including an AI-powered portrait mode, a Night Vision mode, and Google Photos, which supports a wide range of AI features such as Magic Eraser

There are three video capture modes available, with FHD being supported across the board. However, the rear primary camera is the only one that supports up to 60fps.
The new Moto G Power comes in two colours: Evening Blue and pure Cashmere.
The new Moto G Power will be available for Canadians at Motorola.ca, with an MSRP of $449.99. It will be available on January 8.
