The latest PlayStation 4 update, number 5.53, is now available.
However, while some updates are designed to bring additional features to the PS4, this one seems to be focused on stability. According to the patch notes, “the system software update improves system performance.”
The last major PS4 update, 5.50, added a slew of new features to Sony’s console, including improved parental controls, organizational options and a supersampling option for the PS4 Pro.
The most recent PS4 update, meanwhile, rolled out last week and added a revamped user interface focused on TV and movie content.
Also new to the PS4 is Mad Max as one of the free games with PlayStation Plus for this month. The full list of April PS Plus games can be found here.
