BlackBerry Priv Specs, Pricing and Canadian Availability

The BlackBerry Priv is nearing its November 6th release, and despite a barrage of leaks and teasing, the phone is looking more and more like a conventional Android phone — with a couple of significant diversions. BlackBerry is including a QWERTY keyboard with the device tucked underneath the display. And the company is focusing on security, beefing up Lollipop’s built-in defences with a suite of applications under the brand DTEK.

Customers can purchase the Priv through ShopBlackBerry for $899 CAD unlocked. It will ship beginning on November 6th. In addition, Bell, Telus, Rogers, SaskTel, Eastlink and Wind Mobile have confirmed the Priv will launch on November 6th, priced at $399.99 on a 2-year term or $799.99 outright.

Update – October 30th: Regional carrier in east coast Canada Eastlink has confirmed it will release the Priv on November 6th. The carrier has priced it at $349 with easyTab plus or $901 “Retail Price.”

Update – November 4th: We have received the Telus pricing for the Priv, which is set at $890 no-term and $410 on a 2-year contract.
