Rumours of Samsung coming out with two variants of their flagship Galaxy S5 have swirled for months. One would be made of the standard plastic, with the other having metal and be knows as the Galaxy S5 Prime.
The latest leak, courtesy of PhoneArena, has pictures of said device and it looks like there could be truth to the rumours. The images, if true, show a ‘premium’ Galaxy S5 outfitted with an aluminum body along with a slight jump in specs. The 5.2-inch Galaxy S5 Prime will feature a quad-core Snapdragon 805 processor, Adreno 420 GPU, 3GB of RAM, 16MP camera, and a shift of the speaker to the bottom of the phone from the back. Probably the most notable change is the inclusion of a QHD display (1440 x 2560 resolution).
Previous reports indicated the Galaxy S5 Prime in June. Of course, nothing is official until Samsung announces this to the general public.
