iPhone 4 “Chemically strengthened” glass shattered

The Apple iPhone 4 will be available in Canada in July and there has been much talk about it’s design. Specifically the aluminosilicate glass that Apple states is “chemically strengthened to be 20 times stiffer and 30 times harder than plastic”. Even on their website (and promo video) they write that the “glass is ultradurable and more scratch resistant than ever. It’s also recyclable.” Sounds nice… but check out these pics that were done by Ifixyouri. They did a 3 drop tests and state that the new iPhone 4 did survive 2 from 3.5 feet up. However on the 3rd drop “there was a loud POP” that shattered the glass.
