Rogers customers who have a BlackBerry Bold 9700 can now upgrade their OS via Over-The-Air (OTA) from 5.0 to v. 5.0.0.351. Rogers states this upgrade will improve performance and you can expect the process to take about 45 minutes to 2 hours. In addition, it can be done over Wi-Fi or via BlackBerry Desktop Manager (you won’t be charged for any data consumed). Here’s how it works: 1. After April 9, BlackBerry Bold 9700 users can upgrade by selecting Menu > Options > Advanced Options > Wireless Update.
2. Follow the instructions as indicated
a. Click “Next”
b. “Update to 5.0.0.351”
c. Click “Next” Again
d. “Save”
e. “Start download”
f. You can “pause download” as required
