We got our hands on a couple of new devices that were launched by TELUS, the LG Masterpiece and the Motorola Rival.
The LG Masterpiece is incredibly thin and also lightweight (only 83 grams). This comes with a 1.3 megapixel camera, speakerphone, Bluetooth etc. and the keys are actually nicely designed for the size of the device. This is available on the following price plans: 3-year contract: $49.99; 2-year contract: $149.99; 1-year contract: $199.99 and no contract: $299.99.
The Motorola Rival is a completely different device. Targeted for heavy texters and has a full slide-out QWERTY keyboard with dedicated keys for messaging, emoticons and IM. Probably one of the better features of the Rival is that it has some touchscreen features, a 2.2-inch screen and a2 megapixel camera with video capabilities.The Rival is available on the following price plans: 3-year contract: $99.99; 2-year contract: $199.99; 1-year contract: $249.99 and Outright: $299.99.
