Google is printing a tiny message on the Pixel’s SIM tray

In keeping with its love of software Easter eggs, Google has included a hardware one in its HTC-made handsets, the Google Pixel and Pixel XL.

It comes in the form of a hidden message printed on the SIM tray, showing the address of the company’s Mountain View headquarters: 1600 Amphitheatre, Mtn View, CA, 94043. The reason for printing its address on the SIM tray is unclear, but it is yet another trait that likens the Pixel to Apple’s iPhones, which all proudly state “designed by Apple in California” on the back.

The Pixel, which debuted on October 4th, has been described by many as being the equivalent of an Apple device for Android users. It is now available through Canadian carriers and directly from the Google Store, priced at $899 CAD outright for the 32GB version.
