We mentioned earlier this week that Bell would be the exclusive carrier of the Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet with LTE connectivity, and while this is true, Sony has also made this available unlocked at Sony Stores. The price points are $169.95 with the Bell Easy Purchase Tablet Plan, or no-term $650 for 16GB model.

The Xperia Z2 Tablet is dubbed as being the slimmest and lightest tablet in the world at 6.4mm thick and 439 grams. As a refresher, here’s the complete rundown of specs: 10.1-inch full HD Triluminos display (1920 x 1200 resolution), 8MP camera with Exmor RS image sensor, 2.3 Ghz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, 3GB RAM and a 6000 mAh battery.

Have the Wi-Fi only version and it is spectacular! Blows everything else away.

I wouldn’t mind getting an LTE version of the Xperia Z2 Tablet but I don’t want to be locked in to Bell and/or have their bloatware on my device(s).

OR get the Surface Pro 3 with student discount for 699$, Corei3, 4 gb ram, 64 gigs (expandable to 192 gigs w/128 gig microsd card). You end up getting a tablet and “laptop” if you get the kayboard (also on sale with student discount). Then tether with your phone! Also, you can run bluestacks to emulate android on the surface pro (something I’ve been doing).

For those who don’t want bell and don’t care for the LTE, the 32gb version is 599 on the sony store.

I’d want to see a comparison between this tablet and Galaxy Tab S. I never liked any of Samsung’s previous tablets but GTS blew me away. The screen is magnificent and its light thin body is amazing. Also the display is slightly bigger than its predecessors. The only thing holding me back from Z2 Tablet is its screen resolution. It really should’ve been 1600p.

This tablet would be the best in 32 gig, this alone could get me too swith providers. In Canada we always get the cheaper Android version compared the the USA! I bought the Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 given the Galaxy Tab S is only 16 gig and past of that are already filled up by Samsung/Google OS. The Galaxy Tab S is the best tablet for viewing movies, the black are black and the colors are so beautiful, is like having a plasma screen. I bought it and returned it even if I was wowed by the screen since I couldn’t even fit half my applications on it. It’s do amazing I would even trade my galaxy note 12.2 for an American galaxy tab s 32gig even this mine is worth 200 more.

16 gig on kit kat with the new Google policy on the use of the sd card is no good for person like me who has high demands on apps or media. Just in magazine of next issue takes up 6 gig, some games over 1 gig and so on. ….
