BlackBerry OS 7.0.0.474 is now available to Wind Mobile BlackBerry Curve 9360 owners. You can download it from BlackBerry, but make sure you completely back up your device before doing so.

  1. Most BB software only requires OS 4.6 or later. Many work with the Pearl 8130 which only has the older 4.5 OS.

    While i appreciate software being compatible with older devices, what’s the point of owning OS 5, 6 or 7 if there isn’t more software capabilities and/or exclusive features? That makes as much sense as saying Mac OS 9 and Mac OS X use the same software. So why bother upgrading?

    • i’m being genuine and honest here. i’ve seen big, glorious promos for Windows 7, Windows XP, Mac OS 8-10.6, Ubuntu, iOS, Android and so forth. Why can’t RIM do the same? Why can’t RIM give us good reasons to upgrade? i really, sincerely want to know why my friend should use OS 7 as opposed to 4.5.

  2. I really hope this fixes the battery life issue.
    My Curve does not even last me a day with moderate use.
    Should of paid the extra $30 and got the Nexus or the LG from Wind
