The official Facebook app for iPad was outed a few weeks ago, but there’s still no sign of it being available for download in iTunes. There are 3rd party apps available but this Facebook app is supposed to come with the ability to view your photos and video in “full resolution and full-screen”. Pure speculation on our part but perhaps we’ll see this launch when Facebook unveils their rumoured music service on September 22nd. Another sign of progress that the app is coming is a casting call for actors to appear in a “Facebook App Commercial”. No timing is listed but the gig pays $100/day and Lily, the lead actor, will show “the benefits of a Facebook app by using an iPad. The character is stylish, moderately tech savvy, and sociable.”
So it sounds like they are getting ready for the big release, until then, iPad users patiently wait.
