Fire Emblem Heroes update adds new characters and quests

Fire Emblem Heroes game

Fire Emblem Heroes is getting its first major update, adding new characters and quests to Nintendo’s tactical mobile game.

Brother and sister teams Ephraim and Eirika from Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones and Seliph and Julia from Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War, are now available in the game.

As well, the first series of Paralogue story extension maps are now added to the game, which feature a trio of battles showcasing the new characters in action. Family Bonds missions can also be completed for special rewards.

In other news, Nintendo confirmed that the launch bonus orb program, which gives two free orbs for logging in, is continuing through March 14th. The orbs recharge stamina, which depletes over time and is required to play, and more can be purchased with real money.

In addition, the Worldwide Launch Celebration period is continuing indefinitely, meaning that the stamina cost for the Training Tower is halved and there will be no stamina cost for equipping skills. Finally, there are now rewards for the Training Tower starting on February 20th, and in March, units can earn EXP for beating lower-level enemies.
