Bell giving some TSN subscribers free upgrade to premium

NFL RedZone, here I come

TSN app on a smartphone.

Bell is giving some TSN subscribers a free upgrade to TSN Premium in time for the NFL season.

The email, which was sent to my grandparents, included the tagline “You’ve been upgraded to TSN Premium — just in time for NFL RedZone” alongside a graphic of NFL RedZone with TSN Premium and the information.

Bell notes in the email that the upgrade is available through the TSN app and is “yours to enjoy, just for being our customer.”

With TSN Premium, customers who have been upgraded can now stream:

  • NFL RedZone plus 24 additional NFL games
  • PGA Tour Live
  • Every LaLiga match
  • F1
  • ATP and WTA tour tennis
  • NCAA
  • 75 additional NBA games
  • sports documentaries

To access the upgrade through the TSN app on your smart TV, phone, or laptop, you just have to log in with your MyBell username and password.

Interestingly, the fine print notes that the offer will remain available as long as you maintain your Bell TV TSN subscription, and that the premium features are available only through the app.

If you are a TSN customer with Bell, even if you didn’t see an email, I would still check the app anyway to see if you have the upgrades. I never saw an email come through to the account holder in my family, yet I have access.

This timing is convenient, as Rogers is getting flak for ending Hockey Night in Canada, raising Sportsnet+ prices, and adding other fees to watch NHL games after its purchase of MLSE.
