Nexdoor expands ads manager for local businesses

Local businesses can now advertise to members of the community through the Nextdoor app

Nextdoor, the neighbourhood network, has announced that it is launching a self-serve ad manager for local businesses known as the Nextdoor Ads Manager (NAM).

Essentially, the NAM is a full-service advertising platform that allows businesses of all sizes to reach what it calls “verified neighbours at scale who are actively looking for local solutions,” with examples including a home services provider, a retailer, a restaurant, and a community organization.

The platform includes:

  • Hyperlocal targeting: Reach verified neighbours based on precise location, demographics, and interests to ensure campaigns reach the most relevant audiences
  • Custom Audience Tools: Retarget past customers, exclude existing audiences, or find new neighbours similar to past customers
  • AI Text & Image Generation: professional ad copy and visual generator
  • Performance tracking: Advertisers can measure campaign outcomes like purchases, leads, and signups using the Nextdoor pixel
  • Advanced reporting: Custom reporting dashboards allow advertisers to track performance and schedule campaign reports
  • Agency-Friendly Management: Agencies can easily manage multiple advertiser accounts and invite collaborators

Alongside the NAM, Nextdoor is also introducing self-serve functionality, which allows businesses to independently create and manage “hyperlocal at-scale campaigns” directly through the platform.

Nextdoor notes that this further expands the access to Nextdoor’s advertising system, as the platform continues to grow across Canada (even from when the first covered its launch), helping businesses connect with neighbours, in what is described as a “trusted, community driven environment.”

Businesses of all sizes can start advertising through the Nextdoor Ad Manager. Nextdoor is available on the App Store, the Google Play Store, and at Nextdoor.com.
