Starlink residential service is now $49/mo at select locations until April 30, 2026. This $49/mo price is locked in for the first four months.
The deal will allow you to bring satellite service to your home for an affordable price at 100Mbps. Moreover, the $49 gets you 100Mbps download speeds (typically 80-100Mbps) and upload speeds of 15-35Mbps of unlimited Wi-Fi. This deal gets you one Starlink Router Mini with up to 2,200 ft coverage. It says for my home location in Toronto, this would save me $20 per month. Although some locations can get it as low as $55 per month.
There’s also a one-time shipping and handling payment of $19, though. If you need help installing, the price for 100Mbps is $135. Apparently, Starlink is easy, according to the Starlink website.
The 200Mbps and Max service is discounted as well.
- $89/200Mbps – regular as low as $95/mo (my area $110/mo)
- $119/400Mbps+ – regular as low as $125/mo (my area $14o/mo)
In Canada, Starlink is used by Rogers for its satellite services. Previously, Ontario was in talks with SpaceX to use Starlink services across the province, but after Trump became president, these talks came to an end. Premier Doug Ford broke the deal after Trump put tariffs on Canada, as Elon Musk and Trump were close buddies at the time.
Last week, SpaceX lost contact with Starlink, where the company confirmed that satellite 34343 experienced an anomaly in orbit about 560km above Earth, but didn’t clarify the anomaly.
