Calgary-based telecom Shaw is offering a few decent internet deals to new and some existing customers, although the latter group’s mileage may vary.
The offers are available on Shaw’s website, giving users double the speed on their home internet with some significant savings.
First up, users can get an ‘Internet 300’ plan. The plan is typically 150Mbps, but Shaw is doubling it to 300Mbps with two years of promotional pricing. Customers who sign up get the plan for $50 per month for the first 12 months, then $70 per month for the second year.
The plan’s regular price is $110 per month.
Shaw is also offering its Internet 600 plan, which doubles speed from 300Mbps to 600Mbps at $60 per month for the first year and $80 for the second. This plan regularly costs $120 per month.
If you sign up online, you’ll get an additional credit of $250 which mostly covers the $20 increase for the second year of the plan.
On top of this, RedFlagDeals lists a third offer for new customers only. This offer gets you the Internet 300 plan for $45 per month with the $250 credits as well. However, according to RFD, new users might be able to get the offer online through live chat or some Shaw promoters in mall kiosks. Unfortunately, there’s no clear way to redeem this offer.
