Update 06/11/17: The calling outage issue was resolved at around 10:30am ET.
There is a calling outage affecting Public Mobile’s network as of Monday morning, November 6th.
Users are reportedly unable to make outgoing local calls, instead receiving a recorded message that says they need to purchase a long-distance add-on. Users are reporting that incoming calls are working, however.
The Telus-owned budget brand has acknowledged the issue and has stated on social media that it is “working on a fix.”
Sorry to hear that you're affected by this network issue. We are working on a solution 🙂 Until then, stay posted on our Community!

While some users are reporting that the issue is network-wide, Public has only stated that it is affecting “multiple users.” The company also says the issue is not affecting data or text, though some users appear to be having issues with data.
A thread on the Public community forums has received nine pages of comments within the first hour of its posting.
There is currently no estimated timing for the fix, though on social media the company has asked users to keep an eye out for updates.
MobileSyrup has reached out to a representative for the brand.
