During Mobile World Congress, Sony unveiled a number of new products that expand its mobile lineup past smartphones. The manufacturer announced the Xperia Ear, Xperia Eye, Xperia Agent, and the concept Xperia Projector. At least one of these products is now set to make its way to Canada.
Don Mesa, Sony Mobile North America’s Senior Director of Marketing, stated during an interview with MobileSyrup that the Xperia Ear will be available in Canada sometime “late summer.”
The Xperia Ear is a small Bluetooth-connected ear piece that also acts as a voice-controlled personal assistant. The accessory is only compatible with Android smartphones and gives users the option to answer calls, send messages and emails, get traffic updates, check local weather, and acquire directions to a specific destination as it’s compatible with Google Now.
Unfortunately, there is no indication of the price but will be widely available at the usual big box retailers in Canada.
