Google Keyboard update brings Lollipop-flavoured light and dark themes

Android Lollipop is the biggest Android update in years. With Material Design, Google has changed the entire Android aesthetic, and that includes the keyboard.

Though the size of the keys hasn’t changed, Google has removed the dividing lines between each key. Now, this might not be to everyone’s liking but if you saw the Lollipop keyboard and couldn’t wait to get your hands on it, then we have some good news.

Android Central reports that Google Keyboard 4.0.2 is now rolling out to users through Google Play. If you can’t see it, you can sideload the APK to get it right away. Once you have the update you’ll be able to flip between Material Light and Material Dark in the themes. Maybe this will be enough to tide you over while you wait for the Lollipop update.
