There was a number of apps missing from the BlackBerry PlayBook at launch – one of them was a native Facebook app. You could go directly to Facebook but it just didn’t look/feel right. Today at BlackBerry World 2011 RIM officially announced the new Facebook App for BlackBerry PlayBook.
The Facebook app has been “optimized for the 7″ high resolution, multi-touch LCD display of the BlackBerry PlayBook” and is available now in App World. The features are just like the smartphone app that allows you to view and add and interact with friends, upload, browse their profiles, photos and videos, use Facebook Chat and View and interact with the News Feed.
