Best Buy Mobile rolling out “Free Phone Fridays” this February

“Free Phone Fridays” was a successful promo that Best Buy Mobile recently launched in the United States… now the Canadian retail arm has announced the same initiative is coming north. “Free Phone Fridays” will last for the month of February and starts on February 4th, then again on the 11th, 18th and ends on the 25th.

Here’s the deal: Best Buy will reduce the cost of two to three different smartphones from various carriers down to the low price of $0.00 (free)… but you’ll have to activate the device in-store and sign up for a 3-year contract. Best Buy also says that there will be “at least one high-end, in-demand smart phone” that will be available for free. In addition, the phones will be announced every Thursday on Twitter and Facebook.
