MTS has struck a deal with Sprint Nextel’s Global Alliance program to bring their 438,300 customers “a broader range of devices”, possibly even the recently launched Palm Pre.
MTS will now have access to bring on Sprint’s handset lineups and take advantage of their buying when it comes to negotiating enhanced handsets (possibly the Palm Pre). They will also be able to gain insight into Sprint’s technology, product development and planning which can be used to help grow its business in Manitoba. Sounds like a solid deal for MTS… no word was given on how much the agreement was for or the duration.
